Y'all listen up now, 'cause I'm gonna tell ya a tale 'bout a man named Adam and his wife Eve. They got mighty close and Eve got herself pregnant with Cain, sayin' "I done brought a man into this world with the Lord's help." Then they had another boy named Abel, and Cain farmed the land while Abel looked after the critters.
One day, Cain offered up some crops to the Lord while Abel sacrificed his finest livestock. The Lord favored Abel's offering, but didn't care much for Cain's. This made Cain angry and jealous, and the Lord warned him to do the right thing, or else sin would be knockin' at his door. But Cain didn't listen and instead lured Abel out to the field where he killed him.
The Lord asked Cain where Abel was, but Cain played dumb and asked, "Am I my brother's keeper?" The Lord knew what had happened and cursed Cain to wander the earth, unable to grow crops, and always lookin' over his shoulder. Cain begged for mercy, but the Lord marked him so nobody would kill him and sent him away.
Cain went on to have a son named Enoch and built a city named after him. His descendants became livestock owners, musicians, and blacksmiths. Meanwhile, Adam and Eve had another son named Seth to replace Abel. They started worshipin' the Lord and Seth had a son named Enosh. And that's how it all began, y'all.
