Y'all, God remembered Noah, all them critters on the ark, and everyone still alive. So God sent a big ol' wind to make the water go down. The water from the deep sea and the sky stopped comin' down, and the water on the ground kept goin' down for a hundred and fifty days. On the seventeenth day of the seventh month, the ark finally rested on them Ararat mountains. The water kept goin' down until the first day of the tenth month, and then the mountaintops showed up.
After forty days, Noah opened up a window on the ark and sent out a raven, but it kept flyin' back and forth since the whole earth was still covered in water. Then he sent out a dove, but it couldn't find no place to land, so it came back to the ark. After seven more days, Noah sent the dove out again, and this time it came back with an olive leaf in its mouth. That's when Noah knew the water was goin' down. Seven more days went by, and Noah sent the dove out again, and this time it didn't come back.
After a year and ten days on the ark, Noah and his family and all the critters finally got off. Noah built an altar to the LORD and made some burnt offerings. The LORD smelled the smoke and promised to never again curse the land because of us humans, even though we're all sinful from the start. God said that as long as the earth exists, there'll always be plantin' and harvestin', cold and hot weather, summer and autumn, and day and night
